Linda's career in university advancement spans over 36 years and began in alumni relations at The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business (now known as the Booth School of Business). She has served in university advancement roles at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management, Wake Forest University School of Medicine, the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and the University of Missouri-St. Louise. She returned home to North Carolina and Meredith College in 2015.

Linda is a 1982 graduate of Meredith College where she earned a bachelor of music in organ performance and a bachelor of arts in religion. In 1985, she earned a masters in church music from the Southern Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.

Linda serves on the North Carolina Council on Charitable Gift Planning board of directors where she serves as vice president of membership. In November 2024, she will begin service as president of the Council.
